"Lemmy Kilmister - WHITE LINE FEVER"

THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY WITH Janiss Garza.

Just like his band Motorhead Lemmy delivers the goods. This is exactly what you'd expect from Lemmy's autobiography, a fucking good yarn.

I love Motorhead though I'm not their most die hard fan. I mean I've always dug them, in fact when I was a teenage punk rocker in the eighties Motorhead was the only metal band I considered in any way cool.

You see al the other metal bands just looked like phoney faggots to me. Poodle rock has never been my thing. Motorhead were different. They looked way more real. They looked heaps more like the average metal fan.

Overkill id definitely my favourite album but Matt Alien turned me on to the newer stuff and I can assure you it's still all great. That 'aint no nice guy anymore ' ballad with Ozzy & Lemmy singing a duet with Slash doing a solo is a heavy metal masterpiece. It would go straight to somewhere near the top of the charts in these post 'Osbournes' days.

Lemmy would be rapt to hear that cause he gets real pissed off with people that think " Ace of spades " is the be all and end all of Motorhead. You see I just love people that don't get old and do a 'Rolling Stones' on their fans.

Speed is Lemmy's drug of choice and this book is certainly speed reading in more ways than one. You see the double spaced big lettered hard back made me wonder if Logan had loaned me some sight impaired copy he'd stolen from the library.

Janiss Garza has helped Lemmy write a book that has the feel of a four hour chin wag in a country pub and that's about how long it took me to read it.

Lemmy definitely lets us into his world. From popping his cherry with the pony club girls to level headed assessments of fired band members. I don't want to give the plot away but in case you didn't know Mr Kilmister was a roadie for Jimi Hendrix and the former 'rocking vicar' shows up all over the place in the annals of rock history.

Most Motorhead fans will know of his efforts with 'Girlschool' but many may be surprised to learn that Lem's even recorded with the Nolan Sisters !!

The reason for Motorhead enduring rockability is that Lemmy is a good cunt doing things for the right reasons and it comes through in this book. This is a funny light hearted read. Lemmy is a straight up funny bastard and if you don't already love him you will after this.

The bottom line is I'd go well out of my way to score a couple of grams of crystal zoom for him if he turned up on my door step. I might even come back with a few dozen of those tall English cans and a pack of fags as well.
